What if an ancient spirit followed you home?

When world-renowned engineer Peter McMaster travels to the Ivory Coast to solve an energy mystery, he expects technical problems not ancient magic.

Deep in the African wilderness, a strange vortex appears where a geothermal power plant is planned. A tribal Sangoma performs a ritual beside the swirling sinkhole until she vanishes into it before Peter's eyes.

Left behind is a mysterious blue glass vessel.

Inside it: a tiny doll.

Back in New York, Peter discovers the impossible. When the glass rings with a strange tone, the doll awakens moving, screaming, and tapping out a cryptic rhythm.

With the help of artifact researcher Anna Albright, Peter begins unraveling a terrifying truth: the doll may contain the spirit of Asase-Yaa, an ancient West African earth deity imprisoned by forbidden tribal magic.
