The Treasure of Florence

What is it that drives Vanni to travel to France and help his fellow citizen, Renato, who is under guard in hospital, to escape? It is probably the search for the diary recounting his secret and mysterious life.
He spent his youth in Florence, where he played Calcio in Costume. He then joined the Foreign Legion, before returning to his city and making a shocking discovery within the Corteo Storico. The suspicion of the existence of alchemical water, a vehicle of immortality, makes the story contained in the diary even more incredible.
Ever since the siege of 1530 by Charles V, some of Michelangelo's foot soldiers have had to confront the followers of Filiberto di Chalons in order to protect the city's treasure. Since then, only one man has guarded Florence's secret, and it is only thanks to him that the city can still be defended from unscrupulous enemies.
