The “STEP by STEP Book for Horns – Level 1” is an educational method designed to introduce little musicians to the horn in a fun and engaging way, with a strong focus on ensemble music. The learning path is based on the idea that playing together with others not only enriches one’s musical development, but also helps cultivate a true musician’s mindset. Learning to understand one’s instrument and to connect with those playing alongside is essential to creating an environment of respect and musical cooperation.

The book presents a selection of pedagogical melodies, traditional tunes, and classical works by great composers such as Händel, Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, Brahms, Wagner, Weber, Tchaikovsky, and Dvořák, offering students a wide musical landscape to explore. Each piece is chosen to support gradual learning and spark musical interest, developing technique and interpretation from the very early stages of study.

This new edition will be dedicated exclusively to the low horn, with specific adaptations for this instrument. The repertoire will be enriched with arrangements and transcriptions designed to highlight the technical and tonal characteristics of the low horn, giving students the opportunity to work on the lower register of the instrument and to explore new sonorities and timbral nuances.
